Q: Why did you start CrossFit?
A: I originally started CrossFit because I wanted to feel and look healthier. Eventually, I realized there was more to it. It filled a void after college when i stopped competitive swimming and it now keeps me active and wanting to compete daily!
Q: Why Octane?
A: I chose and decided to stay with Octane because of the great community. Everyone is super friendly, motivating and just overall happy to workout. The coaches at Octane are phenomenal. They care about all of the members, getting to know everyone individually and their personal goals. They care more about technique over heavy weights which was also great for beginners to CrossFit!
Q: Goals for the year?
A: I want to be able to RX all of the workouts Octane provides daily as well as hit some personal lifting goals! I am striving to eat better to also help my performance during workouts and lifting programs.
Q: Any advice for the new members?
A: Some advice that I would give to new members: do not give up. CrossFit is challenging but rewarding in the long run. If you stick with it, you will be happier, physically stronger, mentally clearer, and emotionally more stable! Who knows, you may even impress yourself with what you can do, especially with the help and motivation of the coaches and members at Octane!
