Q: Why did you start CrossFit?
A: I was turning 50 and was a couch potato with two kids, and I wanted to change my habits. I want to be the best father and husband which involves clean and healthful living, and that is Crossfit. Also, Crossfit is badass and I want to be a badass!
Q: Why Octane?
A: It’s a convenient location, but the real reason is the people! Our coaches and athletes are a diverse group of really cool people and we have such great times together sweating and moving towards goals. I love the people at octane!
Q: Goals for the year?
A: Lose 15 more #, double unders, kipping pull-ups, and Toes to bar.
Q: Any advice for the new members?
A: Listen to and follow the advice of the coaches. Watch a lot of Crossfit videos on Youtube, and then listen to and follow advice of the coaches again. Hang out afterwards and talk with others about the workout. Try to invite a family member, co-worker or friend to join with you and go through all of the newness together.
